Boyd Hilton (11 Feb 1957 - 10 Aug 2019)

In loving memory of Boyd Hilton, who passed away on 10th August 2019. His impish sense of fun and caring nature will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. His family have requested for no black to be worn on the day of his celebration.

Before his last illness, Boyd had had a very happy time living at Shedfield Lodge, laughing and making playful jokes with the staff, who became his extended family.

A keen sportsman, he played football and cricket for respected local teams and golf with whoever would give him a game. His varied career began stringing rackets for Toomers and included working for the British Transport Police, running his own driving school and community support driving.

A loving and proactive father to his two daughters, Boyd was always on the go, striking up conversations with other people wherever he found himself and leaving them smiling.
