In Loving Memory of one of my oldest friends, someone who I had the honour and privilege to share my childhood and most of my teenage years with. It is with deep regret that adulthood created that inevitable distance and we didn't see one another anywhere near as I would have liked, but rest assured that the impact that you had on me was so profound that I'll never forget you and the positive light that you brought to my life (amongst many other people). When we were kids, many people saw race, colour and difference... you just saw another adventurer that you wanted to be friends with. Such a pure, loving and generous heart is a rarity in this world, and it's a much lesser place with you no longer in it.
I'm grateful to have met you and your beautiful family, who like you, always made me feel welcome.
I look forward to the day when we meet again... you can play me some tunes on the drums and we can compare trainers and t-shirts.
