In loving memory of Stanley ('Rusty') Sharman who sadly passed away on 26th July 2019. He was a fun loving husband, father, grand father, brother and friend to many people during his 76 years. Born in Coates in 1942 he had 3 brothers and 1 sister. His love of sport started as a youngster and didn't diminish until his death and his days of watching multiple sporting events probably kept Sky Sports in business.
A former serviceman in the RAF where he met and married Jan in 7 weeks before shipping off to Aden. After the RAF he joined the Postal Service and for a time was a postman in Swindon before relocating to Whittlesey. If you were a kid at Peterborough Athletic Club back in the days he was the "Hot Dog" man cooking hot dogs at all the athletic events with Wilf & Eileen.
In retirement he used to enjoy a round of golf with fellow retirees who were affectionately known as "The Last of the Summer Winers"
He was many things to many people but above all else he was happy, upbeat and funny and most people loved his company. He will be sorely missed by Jan, Tracey, Kim, Adam, Caitlin & Elissa and the rest of the family and friends.

Dear Jan and Rusty, you will always hold a special place in our heart.

I'm sorry life has been so busy that we didn't get to say goodbye.
Remembering when you witnessed our wedding, and both us and the registrar only knew you as "Rusty" so had to ask your "proper" name for our wedding certificate.
We'll raise a glass of the good stuff for you!

RIP Rusty. All our love Vickey, Jason, Eleanor, Nicholas and Abigail xx
