• Mike completed a Phd in 1962 in Petroleum Engineering and then took a job in California. The family moved out to a small town called Laguna Beach between LA and San Diego.

• Penny met Mike also English, her husband in Canada who was working in the oil exploration industry. They were married in Canada and returned to England in early 1959. Their son, Michael was born in Oct 59. This picture was taken at Mike's mum's house in Kent in the Spring of 1960.
