In loving memory of Eric Sharpe who sadly passed away on 24th July 2019.

Eric joined the Army and served in the Suez Canal Zone in 1952/53.
On leaving the regular Army, Eric joined the 4/6th Royal Lincolnshire Regiment Territorial Army and attended his first Army Cadet Force ( ACF ) camp at Ripon in 1965.
He also served in the TA Parachute Regiment qualifying for his Red Beret and Parachute Wings.
In June 1968 he enrolled into Lincolnshire ACF still also in his civilian employment being a Civil Servant Administrative Officer working with the MOD.

In keeping with his First Aid interest he attended the First, First Aid Instructors course at Frimley Park in 1978.
In 1983 he was promoted to Regimental Sgt Major Instructor in August 1983, a post he filled till January 1987.

Over many years he was involved with Major R M Ogg in planning and organising Spring and Autumn Camps in Wales, and North and East Yorkshire.

He became the County First Aid Training Officer in 1984. In 1987 He became the County Public Relations Officer, finally he qualified for the Cadet Force Medal with 2 bars for many years service.
In his latter years he was Chairman of the retired ACF member's forum.

A wake for Eric will be held at Branston Hall at 15:30 following the Funeral. All are welcome.

Mr Sharpe I will never ever forget you during my time as a cadet at no 2 detachment royal Lincolnshire Regiment/ Royal Anglian Detachment Sobraon Barracks Burton Road Lincoln...in the early 1970'S,you made men out of us young lads and quite rightly made it clear swearing was definitely a bad and unforgivable sin!!!!, thank you for the magnificent times at beckingham training camp and all of the many annual camps we attended under your exemplary wing you taught us so many life skills that the kids of today desperately need to learn,god bless and thank you sir the ARMY CADET FORCE HAS LOST A LEGEND..... NEVER EVER TO BE FORGOTTEN ON BEHALF OF ALL OF THE CADETS ESPECIALLY THE LADS FROM ST GILES LINCOLN.. LINCOLNSHIRE...THE LAST POST WILL FOREVER BE PLAYED IN YOUR HONOUR.. FOREVER..THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE SIR AND GOOD NIGHT FOREVER OUR SHINING AND GUIDING STAR
