In loving Memory of Doris Evelyn Dearling , Wife, Mother, Nannie and Friend.

Mum is going to her final resting place on Wednesday 28th August. She will be wearing her favourite colour purple. We hope you can join us to celebrate her life and say our final farewells together.

As Mum was a such a colourful person we would love you to join us by wearing colour - purple, jade, cerise and blue were her favourites.

1pm Service
St Michaels Church, Church Street Basingstoke, RG21 7QW

There is no parking at the Church so if you continue on Churchill Way into the pull in on the left after the Church turning there are two carparks – Churchill Way East and Churchill Way – the latter is a nice walk through the park to the Church

2pm Committal
Worting Road Cemetery – Worting Road RG21 8YZ

Plenty of parking along the roadside within the cemetery grounds.
From main gate half way follow the exit road out and Mum’s plot is on the right near the colourful exit gates.

2.30 Wake

It’s hard to put into words what she meant to me. I wasn’t a bright kid, I found English and Maths so difficult but she not only encouraged me but, sat night after night helping me and teaching me. She also taught me to cook & bake... I had a little play cooker that I’d drag into the kitchen and cook along with her until I was old enough to help her, when I’d get the step ladder and climb up along side her to chop vegetables or mix cake batter.

She was a remarkable, wonderful grandmother, who I’ll miss dearly.

Really sorry to hear that Doris has passed away. Many moons ago, in the late 1970's and 80's, she was the 'mother' of the BOCM Managment Accounts Team. She held the hand of, and mentored, a host of people who worked in the department during this period. She was a very warm hearted lady and was a great part of the team all those year's ago. She will be sadly missed by one and all.

A very good friend and neighbour since 1971. Wonderful memories of holidays and parties not forgetting the Basingstoke Carnival. Christmas Day mornings with sherry before staggering back across the road to cook!! Gone but not forgotten Glenna xx
