In loving memory of Joan Frampton who sadly passed away on 22nd July 2019

Known for her selfless service to her family, her Church, the Red Cross and the local community she will be missed by everyone who knew her. Joan spent her whole life caring for others in so many different ways and managed to enjoy herself along the way by combining the two. She loved travelling but instead of just holidaying, she helped host holidays for disabled people with the Red Cross, which then lead to her joining the Jumbolance trips to Lourdes on at least five occasions. Along with her devotion to Horton Heath Chapel, was her allegiance to the Red Cross whom she served for 65 years culminating in being invited to one of the Queen's Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace. She was a local preacher, but should be remembered for starting and running single-handed the Youth Club in the 1960s which was a life-saver for the village youngsters. Joan also ran the Sunday school and encouraged the children in taking Scripture Exams, learning very long recitations for Whitsun and putting on brilliant plays at Christmas time. in her personal life, she looked after her bedridden mother for years, and then cared for her sister in her latter years too, but there were many people who received her attention and time in between.
Thanks, Love and Peace to the best Auntie ever.

Thank you Joan for all the years you were my Sunday School teacher, the times you arranged outings for us, Christmas presents from the Chapel tree, encouraging me to play the organ (still can't manage it!) and always interested in my life.
It was a pleasure in recent years to continue seeing you. Two weeks ago when visiting I asked you what you would like me to pray for...you said peace. You have it now! The Peace that passes all understanding. Your life was a great example. Thank you. God Bless.
Lyn.

I have known Joan from being in school together, Sunday school, growing up, and through all our long lives, right up to my last visit with her a week before she died. Joan was an intelligent lady who constantly gave of her time and talents to help others. In latter years we liked to reminisce about the good old days and I would remind her about the times I got her into trouble at school by pulling her hair and making her squeal without the teacher realising it was me! She reminded me she was given the task of trying to teach me to knit...thankfully something I never did master!!
Joan, we will miss you, we were Blessed to know you for nearly 90 years. 'Till we meet again. Ernie.
