In loving memory of (Charles Francis) Ashley Hallowes who sadly passed away on 8th July 2019 shortly after his 73rd birthday.

Son of Freddie and Kathleen Hallowes, husband of Anne, sister to Barbara and father to Suzanne and Kirsty.

Ashley was a retired Chartered Civil Engineer. With a specialism in Airports, Ashley visited and worked in many parts of the world during his career, most notably Bahrain and Sofia, Bulgaria. During his retirement, Ashley helped the local Scout groups with their DBS administration for safeguarding.

Ashley was diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine Tumour in Spring 2018. In August 2018 he underwent abdominal surgery at Kings College Hospital in London where 2/3rds of his small intestines and his appendix were removed. He had a round of PRRT treatment in March 2019 but his health declined afterwards and he did not have further treatment.

His last foreign holiday was to Lanzarote after Easter 2019 to enjoy the sunshine.

After a 3 week stay at hospital in Basingstoke, Ashley spent his last weeks at The Grange in Sherborne St John. The staff at The Grange, together with the visiting staff from St Michaels Hospice showed Ashley, Anne, Suzanne and Kirsty tender care and support at such a crucial time to us all.

His funeral will be at Basingstoke Crematorium (RG25 2BA) at 12.45 on Thursday 25 July followed by a reception at Audley's Wood hotel in Basingstoke (RG25 2JT). Everyone is welcome.
