In loving memory of Lesley Richardson who sadly passed away on 13th June 2019

To Geoffrey, Paul, Martin and Thomas

Lesley would have been so proud of you all - looking so smart and handsome, speaking to everyone at the funeral and making sure they were well fed and watered. It takes a lot of courage and bravery to do this when you are feeling so sad, but Lesley did exactly the same with everyone she met, so you are definitely following in her footsteps.
We are both so sorry for your loss and for the big gap it has left in your lives.
Love from
Amanda & Ray

If there were more people in the world like Lesley the world would be a better and more humbling place.Alconbury and Alconbury Weston bring back tremendous memories and the Richardsons are all part of that.
Thinking of you.

We have known Lesley and Geoff for years, ever since Thomas and our daughter were at School together and had play dates. I used the farm shop all of the time, and in passing one day ,I offered to help out in the shop, not thinking they would take me up on it. I worked there on two afternoons a week while Geoffrey did his farming and Lesley housework. Every day she would make a cuppa at 3pm and I would sit in the kitchen and we would chat.
Going to miss her very much.
Love and thoughts to Geoff and the boys. I imagine there will be a huge hole in their lives.

Lesley was one of the first people I met when we moved here 37 years ago. Our children grew up together through playgroup and the primary school. Mike and I have so much missed seeing her and Geoffrey since the Farm Shop closed. Our love and condolences to all the family. Sorry not to be able to attend on July 3 but James and his family are arriving from Detroit - he will wish to join us in memories of Lesley.

They supported the Thursday Club and were part of the volunteer group who built the Alconbury Sports and Social Club.

I never had a sister, but if I could choose one, Lesley, would have been my sister. She was more than a cousin. She loved our Mum (Mabel) as her own. Whenever we would go to visit, she would invite us to stop for lunch, we never declined. The last time we went she cooked boiled gammon, salad & jacket potatoes. Just like Mum used to make - it was like stepping back in time. She loved to talk about what she had been doing with her family, always welcomed us and always had a smile on her face. Even these last few years she has been inspirational. What a lovely lady and what a fighter. We love you Lesley xxxx

Sally and I send our heartfelt sympathies to Geoffrey and Family at this time. Sorry not to be able to pay our respects at Lesley’s service but we will be thinking of you whilst away.
I’ll always remember your kindness and help at my time of need and for that I’ll always thank you.
Never forgetting how Lesley organised me with my move with Sabrina and my new home all those years ago, she hoovered the carpet this way and that for half hour. It’s also where she introduced me to Mr Dyson 😀
I’m sure the lines on my carpet were better than any cricket pitch 👍
Love from Sally and Robert.
