In loving memory of Carol Lang who sadly passed away on 8th April 2019.

Carol, born Caroline Alice Brown on 11 September 1946 to Doris and William. Sister to Betty, Cathie and Andrew. Married John Kay Lang on 25 February 1967. Mum to Katherine, Nicola, Cameron & Cheryl. Grandma to Adam, Jane, Ben, Niamh, Eilidh-Jane, Darragh, Matthew, Alice (Noah), Orla, Rioghnach and Cameron. Mother-in-law to Mitch, Miriam and Simon.

Carol was diagnosed with Frontemporal Dementia in February 2016. Unfortunately her decline was rapid and after being cared at home for nearly 3 years by John and Katherine, she was hospitalised with pneumonia in October 2018. She then moved to St Margaret's Care Home in Edinburgh in January 2019. She was taken to hospital on the evening of Saturday 6th April with a chest infection. John, her four children and nine of her eleven grandchildren spent the day and evening with her on Sunday 7th April where we shared lots of tears, laughter and memories. Carol knew that she was surrounded by those who loved her. Sadly, she died on the Monday morning at 8.15am with John, Katherine and Cheryl present.

She will be sadly missed by extended family and friends.

On way home now. Cant stop thinking about you all. Myself & Orla are very sorry for you all at this sad time, it's been an emotional weekend being so far away. Carol was a family woman who did everything for everyone and then some. Her family was everything to her . Thinking about you John, Katherine, Nicola, Cheryl and of course Cameron ❤

  • Thank you Miriam. It's been a difficult few days but also lots of laughs and nice that we've been able to do things together. Safe journey x
