In loving memory of Martin Stanley Johnson who sadly passed away on 27th February 2019. He was the most inspirational, loving, caring, husband, father, brother and grandfather that anyone could wish for. He touched the lives of so many people and the memories will be cherished forever.

Happy memories of a man who didn't take himself too seriously and made the working day a little brighter on his visits to the Lakeside IMI offices.

Dear Martin When I started to write this the sun shone above Someren. The sun shone always for us when you were with us. We met Doreen and you many years ago, when you visited the Netherlands with your father and mother in law. We wil remberber you as a kind man with a very good sense of humor and the heart on the right place. It was so much fun if you ate with us and when we did fun things together. You gave me a lesson for my life, when you told me that each day had one thing that was worth living. We always waited for the message if you would come to Someren for Easter. Eatsrer will never be the same, but we'll think about you! When I stopped writing this message to yoy it rained above Someren......We'll meet again......................Thank yoy for everything!

  • Wonderful friends in Someron, Holland. Visits to see them were always a great pleasure. Martin was sad not to be able to see them and their family one last time!

I was saddened to learn of Martin’s death.
I first met Martin whilst he was at IMI, and continued to collaborate with him at Quanta.
What a charming man, I will never forget the booming voice and the broad smile.
Rest in peace.

And than you said: "as an example this conversation with me". And than you laughed!!!! But is was a lesson for my life! Dear Martin. Easter will never be the same without hoping that Doreen and you would come to see all te dutch. But...................We'll meet again...............Lots of Love Lucien and Marionne .................... And now it really rains above Someren , tears for you dear Martin!

Martin was an inspiration in every way. After nearly 30 years in business with him I never came across anybody with such unique insight and creativity. Coupled to boundless energy, huge dedication, and a glorious self belief, Martin made things happen. I always looked forward to my meetings with him, never knowing quite what to expect, but nearly always leaving the meeting in a happier mood than I arrived. He was always eager to let others take credit, and would sit back and smile ‘his smile’ as the praise flowed. His contribution to IMI will live on for a generation or more, so unique and influential were his ideas and concepts which remain at the core of many of it’s most successful products today. All of us who worked with him will miss him greatly. Rest in peace Martin.

A great Dad and Granddad to many. It was always entertaining to watch his inquisitive mind, not just looking outside the box, but picking it up to look underneath to see what else he could do. He had boundless positive energy and guidance for the young and the old in the family. He was an inspiration to all - we will miss him dearly. Safe Journey.

Martin it was a privilege to call you brother-in-law.
What an awesome person
- Friendly
- Approachable
- Sociable
- Always willing to help anyone
- Workaholic
BUT very private and exceptionally difficult to find the rest of Martin

Your sense of family (whanau) makes me think that somewhere you must have had Welsh and Maori blood flowing through your veins.
Your contribution to the development of Kate, Jon & Chris as superb adults is a lasting tribute to you.
I am grateful that you always made me feel welcome and part of the family and I will miss seeing you on my trips to the UK and being taken on mysterious trips (Men in Tutu's).
Rest in peace.
Chris
