In loving memory of John Alfred Hinds who sadly passed away on 22nd February 2019 surrounded by family and friends.

John lived a long and happy life spent with the people that he loved. He was immensely proud of his two children and three grand-children.

The stories and experiences he shared with us and the memories that we made with him will be cherished forever.

We are having a wake for John at Zoe's house the night before, you are welcome to join us and say your personable goodbyes.

We will also be collecting for Princess Alice Hospice on the day so would greatly appreciate donations rather than flowers.

For me out of all the stories and memories we have as a family the one that will stick with me the most is the sound of slippers dragging along the floor at 7:30am on a Saturday morning followed by the screen of “are you up yet?”. It’s at that point you have a split second to think do I say yes and get up and have a cup of tea and a chat or stay in bed for a few more hours. Although the lay ins will be nice the morning chats and stories of what the day will intel shall be missed the most. Planning on how we can make Chelsea the best team in Europe so simply and what job we can bodge next is going to be greatly missed.

Will always miss you
Warwick

Grandad,

Dad toasted to you in the evening of the day we lost you “To the best dad ever (apart from me)” and he couldn’t have been more right, as always.

We have celebrated your life with you and we have celebrated without you. It’s not often you still have grandparents in your late 20s and we have been so lucky to have so many memories with you that we can treasure.

Rest in peace,
You were truly one of a kind!

Lots of love,
Nicole x

There are few people who you meet in life who you could call irreplacable, but John was one of those. To him life was an adventure and he loved nothing more than those around him enjoying the fun with him. A lovable rogue, an ever-giving friend. Goodbye MasterSpy. X

Thank you John for standing in for my father at my wedding. For never complaining that I was closer to your mother than I was my own and for being godfather to Paul. we will all miss you. xx
