Really sorry to hear about Sean. He and Graham were very good friends. So shocked to hear he passed away. I know he had been unwell. Regards Alison

Shaun was my best friend and it dates back to when we met at about age 13 in Blundeston. Both our Fathers were Prison Officers and we lived in the quarters provided by the Prison Service. We shared many happy times as active youths, cycling around the village and local areas. We shared a passion for keeping Tropical fish and I remember we would buy some fish in Lowestoft and cycle home with a plastic bag stuffed under our shirts to keep the water and fish warm. Later we bought our first Motor Cycles - a Honda 50. Somehow, Shaun always got a better looking bike and a better deal than me !! We later both attended Lowestoft College and our plan was to join the Police. My eyesight let me down, but Shaun made it in as a Cadet. My Family moved away to Felixstowe as my Dad was promoted and took a position in that area. We stayed in touch and by then I had bought a Lambretta and rode up to Lowestoft to see Shaun on a fairly regular basis. He would come to see me at times too. As time passed Shaun Married Pat and I saw them both after Janine and Paul were born. As we know, that Marriage was not to be and some time later I joined Shaun on his happy day when he Married Lesley. She has been his rock from the start. No Woman I know has been so caring and patient as Lesley. Shaun developed his long standing illness of ME many years ago and he battled with the problems by trying various natural remedies. Some worked some did not but he discovered by reading medical books, that he could manage things better by limiting his diet to certain food types. That allowed him and Lesley to enjoy Holidays abroad, mainly Turkey, where he even learned the Language. We shared close Birthdays, as mine is 4 days before Shaun and we were both born in 1949. We enjoyed a special 50th Birthday in Como, Italy, organised in secret between my now ex-Wife Jane and Lesley. Time passed and we remained in regular touch.I worked in Iraq for 6 years and met my Wife Lian there. We moved to Lian's home area in the Philippines and I settled down. However, the email and Skype remained in use and I was in touch with Shaun regularly. He even helped with mail and items I requested - seeds and mall things he could send to me. However, I was very sad to be informed by Janine recently of Shaun's final battle with his illness. He was like a Brother to me and I will miss him dearly. My heart goes out to Lesley and I hope one day we can see each other again. I am sure Lesley will continue to be stoic and strong though these early days. God bless you Shaun, Rest in Peace.
