Dearest Trefor, you have been such a wonderful grandad to Steven and great grandad to Darci. All 3 of us loved the many days out we had and the memories of them will stay with us for ever.

I have watched the bond between you and Steven grow with such affection and it has been so lovely to see you have that relationship with Darci too.

It has been such an immense privilege to have you in my life (even with your terrible jokes) for the past 19 years and I will miss you terribly. This also means I have Steven back on a Thursday now but I bet he won’t bring me a chippy tea every week!

Have fun up there, don’t drive Irene round the bend too much and watch over us.

All my love Claire xx

Grand,

As I sit here writing this, with tears rolling down my face, I know you are not far away from me. You are resting peacefully in the chapel of rest watching over me and telling me everything will be ok.

Out family days out with never be the same without you.. but we will always remember you on each and everyone of them.

Grand, I remember the good old caravan days where we always seem to take the scenic route and get stuck behind a tractor along the country roads. But we always got there in the end albeit hours after everyone else!!!

You've been such a huge part of mine and my children's lives that I will never ever forget and forever be thankful and grateful for.

You have been a shoulder to cry on, given me good advise on many a subject, especially relationships and boy did I need that!!!
Thank you for not judging me and always being there for me through thick and thin.

I will wear my granddaughter bracelet with pride on Friday when I will say my final goodbye to you.

I'll be over to see you this week to kiss you goodnight. Sweet dreams Grand.

Rest in peace Grand. Love you like you wouldn't believe. My heart is broken with the loss of you and the pain I'm feeling is unbearable.

Till we meet again or as Allan always says see you later!!

Lots of love

Gill xxxxxx

Grandad,

What can I say?

Growing up the memories of you may not be so clear,
Although, I’ll never forget our chippy dates; that I will treasure so dear.

Next on to the house clean up; the sight I can not unsee,
Those naked girls in the magazine stirring at me.

The jokes you told where second to none,
But I’m sure up there you’ll carry them on.

So, as the years roll on we became close, even best friends,
As you always told me “Never burn the candle at both ends”.

Now I know the last few years haven’t went to plan,
But I want you to know you I’ll take care of Nan.

Now my pain of your loss may not be on public display,
But behind my smile; life just isn’t the same way.

Grandad, you where a hero to many I know,
But you’ll always be mine each year I grow.

It’s time for this poem to come to an end,
Rest In Peace Grandad; my best friend.

X

Grand,

You held my hand and gave me hugs when I was little. You were my hero whilst I was growing up, and provided so many wonderful memories during our weekend breaks with nan at the caravan. The many occasions we sat eating cold sausage butties whilst broken down in one of your many old cars on Rhuallt Hill on our way back from the caravan, or the occasion on the Dock Road, where you drove through the biggest puddle and flooded the engine will live with me forever. Who could forget the Sunday roasts you used to cook, whilst we listened to 'Hold your Plums' on the radio. The conversations we have had over the last twenty years during my career, where you offered partial advice on how to build properly is priceless. You became a permanent fixture in my weekly life; Thursday evenings became ours and every week we would visit the Grapes for a meal or we would get a Chinese take-away; what am I going to do now?

We thank you for the many lives you have touched during your life. Every time we think of you, our hearts swell with pride and you will always be missed, in laughter and tears.

No one will know the heartache that hides beneath my smile, and your presence will be missed. Every time we think of you and the jokes you used to tell will bring a smile to our faces every time. We will love you always, so until we meet again...

Steven, Claire & Darci

Dear Trev, I am so sorry you are gone from this world but I am sure you are out of pain and at peace.
I looked forward to your phone calls as you did to mine. I am really going to miss your jokes and our phone chats over the many years on football, (especially Everton and Man United) politics, and weather forecasts for Liverpool and the Welsh Hills. We had some great discussions.
I am sure you are well sheltered from all environments now. This world is just a stepping stone to the next. May you RIP and sleep with the angels until we meet again!
Condolences to all the family left behind, I know from what Trev told me is that you were all very special to him.

Dad, you had a goal of reaching 103. You certainly tried your best. Will miss our weekly phone calls talking about our beloved Everton, Your knowledge and enthusiasm of politics. Your corny jokes. Your pride in your grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Will miss getting on a plane once or twice a year coming to see you. Going out for drives, sometimes getting lost as your co-piloting duties were. Enough said.
Now that you are at peace with Mum. Give my love to Mum. Love you Dad
