In loving memory of Anne Sargison who sadly passed away on 8th February 2019 tragically from a brain tumour. Thankfully, she suffered no pain and passed in her sleep surrounded by her four children, Katrina, Julie, James and Daniel. With special thanks to the palliative care nurses who helped and tended Anne in her last weeks.
Anne had a life with struggles like many people but she finally found happiness and love when she met Malcolm. They shared a passion for helping others and always supporting the 'down trodden'. The sharing of this goal is how they first met and were married after a short romance. Anne worked as a housing officer for Mansfield District Council when she moved up north to Malcolm's home town. She made many friends here and in particular, Ann Purvis, with whom she played cards regularly. Anne had particularly wonderful neighbours in Ken and Freda with whom she shared a special bond. They helped her in times of need - particularly when Malcolm died.
Although Anne had 3 sisters and 2 brothers, only Maureen and Susan are now still with us. Anne lost her loving sister Jenny only just over a year ago which was a huge loss for her. Jenny and Anne had lovely times together sitting in Anne's wonderful garden and enjoying their sisterly bond.
Mum loved her grandchildren, Claire, Adam and Taylor and she held a special place in her heart for her only great grandchild, Rodrigo.
Family holidays were especially wonderful times spent camping in Cornwall which is why she chose to move with Julie to Truro in April of last year. Here, she could be with her 'boys' and live by the sea which she truly enjoyed. Julie, James and Daniel made her time in Cornwall very special. This is the reason why Falmouth was chosen for her place of rest.
Anne loved her garden and was very absorbed with its design and care. The colours were glorious and fairies, butterflies and frogs were prevalent. This creative flair expanded to various crafts before she became ill.
All those that knew her will be aware that Anne thrived on the exchange of interesting and sometimes provocative ideas. She loved an engaging and forthright conversation with anyone.
Anne was dearly loved and will be missed but never forgotten.
Should you wish to send flowers, they will need to arrive at Cornwall Funeral Services, Cardew Business Park, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 1SQ by 9am on Monday 25th February 2019. Alternatively, you can donate to NSPPC through the link on this page, NSPCC were a charity close to Anne's heart.
A wake will be held after the funeral at Falmouth sea front. Gylly Beach Cafe, Cliff Road, Falmouth and you are all very welcome to come and share her memories with us.
