I am saddened to hear the news that Vera has passed away. I got to know Vera through her husband, Bill. They can only be described as a truly lovely couple, who thought so much of other people who were in difficulty, and were always ready to lend that hand of friendship. After Bill passed away my wife Pat and I kept in touch and met with Vera regularly. We both missed her when she moved and it was Christmas Card and occasional letter contact from them on. Our heartfelt sympathy to her family, both immediate and connected , who must be deeply sorrowed by her passing. May the store of memories that you have built up over the years, now give you the strength to celebrate the end of such a wonderful lady’s life. I shall be with you all in spirit on the 7 February and will attend the Memorial Service to be held in her memory.
