Roddy David Loughton (aka Rod)

Nov 18th 1992 - Dec 17th 2018.

Sadly the week before Christmas we lost Roddy David Loughton. Beloved son of Donna McColl and Roderick David Loughton. Brother to six siblings and daddy of two little girls, Stevie-Leigh (6) and Chloe (2). His girls were the most precious thing in Roddy's life, he adored them and was never happier than being with them.

Roddy grew up in North Edinburgh, and is best known in the Pilton and Muirhouse areas. He was truly a free spirit in life, with a cheeky sense of humour and an ability to be liked by everyone he met. He was a very sensitive and creative person, and will be missed by all his family and friends alike. Roddy will be laid to rest at Warriston Crematorium on Thursday 24th January at 11am. The family invites everyone who knew and loved Rod to join them and also requests rather than sending or bringing flowers, to donate to Roddy's legacy collection that will help local young people suffering mental health issues, homelessness and unemployment.

The family wants to truly thank everyone who has offered support, love and thoughts at this difficult time. All attending are invited to wear something Green, and are welcome to join them at Ye Olde Inn at Davidson Mains to celebrate Roddy's life.

Rest in peace Rod, you were a much loved son, daddy, brother, cousin and friend. x
