Through tears I saw you sinking
I watched as you faded away
You faced it all with courage
Your spirit did not fade
You fought until the very end

It was clear that you were so tired
And a cure was not to be
It was your time to be at peace Dad
To slip away to a restful place and be free

I could not wish for you to come back
To suffer all that again
So with hidden strength I will continue life
Remembering you everyday along the way
I’ll forever miss you Dad and hold close to my heart the memories we have

My eternal love Mandy x
