In loving memory of Alan Haydn Baker who sadly passed away on 31st December 2018

Dad had requested that there are only flowers from the immediate family at the funeral. He had suggested that if anyone would like to make a donation in his memory, his choice would be to either St Raphael Hospice or The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.Thank you

Alan was a truly inspirational and giving person, who put his family at the forefront of everything he did.

Having been privileged to have him as a father-in-law, welcoming me into the family, I had many conversations with him where he proudly described all Vera and his girls had achieved.

His passion for cricket, golf and football were a pleasure to watch and often participate with, regularly followed by a drink or two.

His dedication to ensure he entertained through performing his famous talks, or “singalongs”, putting a smile on thousands of faces, was something to admire, even through his own health struggles. It was great to see this dedication appreciated through his call up to the Palace (thankfully not Crystal!!).

A wonderful man who will be missed by many. I already miss our Wordfeud battles but feel privileged to have known you.

Rest in peace x

A lovely man who will be greatly missed by all who ever came into contact with him.
We shared many wonderful times Motspur Park.
