My very first Memory of Ken, and our first introduction, was Parents evening in the first year of secondary school (1989)!!!. Rochelle was Horrified, Mortified and Petrified (of anyone she knew spotting them) because Ken was wearing a bright purple suit! I was more worried about the bow tie my Dad was wearing and I think this may have been one of the defining moments in our blossoming friendship!!

Another recollection (and further paternal similarity) was Ken's uncanny Malapropisms which again only made me feel more a home!

At first Ken wasn't quite sure what to make of me as I'd taken a pleated skirt and court shoe wearing Young Roch under my wing and she emerged wearing Doc martins and tops from Voodoo!!!!! I think he soon worked out though that she had found her second family in 'The Posse' and eventually forgave me!

I remember LONG night journeys in the back of Ken's car when he'd finish a gig and would then drive Roch and I down to Tenby to stay with Sid and Irene.

Most of all though, as you would imaging, I remember him rocking it knowing everyone was listening and me dancing like no one was watching!!

You've got a good crowd waiting for you Ken, Don't let them down!

Sad news. Ken & I were great friends at Wyggy and had many interests in common: Speedway (both followers of the Hunters), Astronomy (both founder members of the Leicester Astronomical Society in 1952), music etc etc. He will be sorely missed. I'll light a candle for him in Burbage church.

Very sad to hear the news about Ken, We loved to see (and listen to) Ken and Warlock strutting their stuff down by the railway line in Wigston. Very glad that I knew him.

Currently listening to the Ace Authentic R&B Excello mix. Oooh daddy you've got a lot to answer for as I'm "coming in the park" with Jimmy Anderson. "I'm warning you baby" I'm so tired so I'll quit "nagging" because "I'm a lover not a fighter"and a "king bee". Just beginning to realise just how much you will be missed. Still not real. You'll be remembered with every 'matchbox' and 'two-fifty three' and "upturn". You're the "Only daddy that'll walk the line" so have a "peaceful easy feeling" my "Rockin 'Daddy". xx
