Darren Foxwell (Passed away 28 Nov 2018)

Darren... It has taken me a long time to be able to write a message on here. It doesn’t seem real that you have passed on. You have always been around and part of our family

I remember going to the Beacon with you and Tanya and playing pool. Lots of trips to Romney Marsh to see our Granny with the family. We all used to go out for dinner at various restaurants and you made everyone laugh with your stories

I remember your dog Bill (I think that was his name?) who liked to share a choccy biscuit whenever the packet was opened. He sat right by you - as he knew you were kind and would always give him one

Sonny looks just like you, except he is not yet as loud !! He is the sweetest little boy and he knows who his Daddy is, he looks at your picture and says ‘Dad’.

Sonny will always be loved and looked after. We will all take great care of him and Tanya.

I’ve known Darren since primary school, he was in my class at school and junior school.. We lived close by to each other and his brother Jamie.
One thing I cant forget about Darren is that he loved to throw spiders and earwigs on me, much to his amusement.
He was a funny guy who always had a smile on his face.

I knew Darren for many years from growing up in the same area of Downham. His family used to live down the end of my road - Boyland Road on Bonville Road. He was a couple of years younger than me but I always knew him from around and about. I can't remember first meeting him he was just always about in my early years. He was a top lad your dad Sonny, always having a laugh. He was everybody's friend. I didn't know one person who had a bad word to say about him. It was always nice to bump into him be it in the park where we all hung about or the in the pub. He'd always great people with a smile and a joke. A lot of us used to get up to mischief but your dad was a goodun, never in bother (that I'd admit to on here haha).. We all used to call him "Dal" back then. I was really pleased to catch up with him on Facebook after not seeing him for 20+ years. He was still the same, chatty and funny. I could tell by the way way he spoke of you and your mum that he was absolutely besotted with you both. I really hope you grow up to be just like him because you will do well in life if you do. Real shame that he went so early but as they say only the good die young. RIP Dal..

Darren just had the best energy to be around. He was the biggest kid. Constantly up to something at work (asda) either trying to sneak up on someone or make them turn red. On my first day of working at asda he was there and we got on since then. He was so caring, always there for a chat and giggle or a hug. After he left work he'd always be in telling me about his next venture. One being a tut tut in st Ives, I think he was going to sell churros off of it. He had the biggest smile on his face when he told me him and tanya were having a baby! He was the proudest dad. I was so happy for them. I'll always miss him just like everyone else who had the pleasure of meeting him. I hope everyones memories create the best picture for sonny when he's old enough to read these xx

Dal was such a top bloke, a funny geezer and we always had such a laugh at work. Can never forget his laugh either haha. I was also honoured to be invited to his wedding which was an amazing day too. RIP Dal, miss you mate. X

I’m so lucky to have known Darren ... ours was regular banter about our football teams he was a Milwall fanatic and I was the Fulham supporter ... we always wound each other up ... Sonny you’re Dad was a brilliant person .... and he will always be watching over you as you grow into a fine young man .. he will be missed greatly 🌹

Tanya I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember working at Tom Bells in Hayes and Darren always use to put a smile on our face, such a lovely person. May he rest in peace and out prayers and thoughts are with you all xxx

There are no words to ease your pain, but I’m certain Danny is looking down on you and Sonny with a huge smile on his face with love and pride in his heart

This gent made me feel welcome and comfortable when transitioning into a new job. He was a joy to be around and always looked out for others at work and in his own time. I had the pleasure of meeting Sonny and Tanya briefly as well and it was a beautiful family. My love goes to everyone who is going to miss this great man, he will not be forgotten.
