This memorial is in memory of Valerie Hatch (nee Howlett) who was born on 13th August 1943 to Charles and Florence Howlett. Valerie was married to Tony and leaves behind two children Catherine and Pete, and four grandsons Luke, Daniel, Liam and Ethan. Valerie was a loving wife, mother, sister and Nanny who brought great joy and happiness to those she met with her beaming smile and affection.

She was the matriarch of our family who will be sorely missed. We will look for you in the rainbows xxxxxxx

Valerie asked, rather than flowers that donations are made to Cransley Hospice, Kettering whose nurses and nursing staff were her 'Angels' as she fought to the end along with donations to Parkinsons UK whose work helps to support people like her husband Tony. If you would like to make a donation then you can do via this memorial site or there will be a collection box at her funeral service.

All those that knew Valerie are invited to remember her with her family at her funeral and the wake afterwards at Rushden Bowls Club, Northampton Road, Rushden. If attending then please acknowledge via this site.

If you are unable to make her funeral we invite you to leave a memory on this page.

The twinkle in those brown eyes and a brief flush over her face signalling spontaneous youthful laughter have remained with me since our carefree schooldays.

To Tony such a constant companion who gave to Val and sustained the two most precious jewels in her life .. I will be with you, Cath and Pete in spirit on Tuesday 18

We have fond memories of Val from How Wood School days. She worked tirelessly for the school PTA and we remember the good times at the wonderful school fetes which she organised. It was a pleasure to have known her. Our condolences to Tony and the family.
