In loving memory of Jill Mackintosh who sadly passed away on 30th October 2018 after a short yet brave battle with terminal cancer.

We hope you are able to join us on Thursday 22 November to help us celebrate Jill's life.

Family flowers only, no black ties please!

A cause very close to Jill’s heart, Hope4 is a homeless charity that aims to relieve poverty among homeless and badly-housed people in the Borough of Rugby, Warwickshire.

It also works to prevent homelessness by running a day centre, a foodbank and a homeless shelter providing supper, beds and breakfasts for those sleeping rough during the cold winter months.

I know you would love this...Phoebe wanted to bake cakes and sell them for your charity, she raised £20. I told her you would be very proud of her. Love you x

I have been friends with Jill since we were at Rugby High School from the mid 1970s. Our friendship group has stayed in touch, and, (with Lynn, Jenny and Sue), we shared a wonderful (Italian themed) 3 days together earlier this summer.
Always kind and unselfish with her friends, Jill also showed compassion and caring towards people in difficult or less fortunate circumstances in life. This is reflected in her wish to support the charity Hope4 in her home town, Rugby.
Jill was a special person and lovely friend, who I will miss dearly. My love to Ian, Tom and Chris.
Jenny

I met Jill the first time in Italy for a Comenius preparotory visit in 2008. I appreciated her professionality and her kindness very soon. We worked hard with our partners and our project got the approval. The title was "Treasures" and I want to say that Jill was a big "treasure" for me. I will never forget her , our trips aboard, our laughs, our friendship.
I will never forget her generosity and her family hospitality, when we had a meeting in Market Dryton. I am very sorry for this terrible new and I give my condolence to the family.💓

Jill was one of my students on the bi-lingual secretarial course at East Warwickshire College in the early 1980s when I taught her German. She was a dedicated, passionate student, with a real gift for the language. This she retained throughout her life, particularly via the Comenius and Erasmus projects, of which she was justly so proud. I visited her on her placement in Russelsheim in 1983, and we kept in touch ever since. We had a great weekend together when she came to visit me in Devon just a couple of years ago. It was the last time I saw her and I am so sad that she is no longer with us. I will always remember her as a happy outgoing person, willing to do anything for anyone.
