There was nobody quite like Uncle Tony, he was a unique character. He would turn up at ours in his lorry, throw Stephen and I a bag of crisps each, and fill us up with exciting stories from afar. He would spend the evening with us, catching up on news, then he would be gone again for a few weeks, until the next visit.

Most of summer was spent with Uncle Tony, Auntie Vera and Julie at Butlins, Skegness. Can always remember him shouting "Oggie Oggie Oggie" down Skegness Seafront whilst trying to find my Dad. He will always be part of our childhood, lots of happy times. RIP Tony xXx

Happy memories of when we were young. We used to pick fruit from the trees in the garden at our home in Rainham and take to the German prisoners of War who were building pre-fab homes in Maidstone Road in Rainham. We both also sang in the Church choir at Chatham every Sunday morning which was broadcast live on BBC radio. Happy days.

To my dear dad,
Words are not easy at the minute as I'm finding this very hard to accept.
You was with us one day and gone the next, without saying goodbye,
I know you wasn't happy here since we lost mum, but I'm now left lost without you both which is breaking my heart in too.
You were the best dad, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the things you gave, and some for me.
Fly high with mum be happy again.
I love you loads dad, miss you always.
Your pest Julie xxx xxx
