In loving memory of Bernard Patrick Hiskey who sadly passed away on 22nd July 2018, he survived his wife Olga by 11 years and will be laid to rest next to her in St Mary & St Lawrence Church Yard, Great Bricett on 7th August, the service starts at 11am and light refreshments will be provided afterwards in Great Bricett Village Hall.

Bernard had lived in his home for 60 years and up until 18 months ago had remained very independent, with the help of family and carers he was able to stay in his home until the stroke which preceeded his death.

He worked as an agricultural worker for most of his life and one of his most treasured gifts on his 90th birthday was a book on the history of the tractor, which he quickly read cover to cover.

There are so many things to say about Bernard but the most important is that he lived a quiet and unassuming life, he lived the life he wanted surrounded by his family, and many pets over the years for which he had a great fondness.
