Aunty Peg

My earliest memories are of being with you and Nan at Stanstead Road. Mum used to drop me off and go to work. Those days were some of the happiest I can remember.

I recall the days we went off to Peckham and to this day if it rains whilst the sun is out, I still call it Peckham weather! I remember going to Mrs Wheelers in Deptford and your friend in Forest Hill.

I owe my enduring love for Pie & Mash to you; in my opinion you could have given me no greater gift!

I remember the holidays in the caravans and stopping having sugar in my tea whilst we were away in Great Yarmouth. Another great gift was a sense of direction, as I was always getting lost!

Thank you for all your caring and for these great gifts you have bequeathed to me. Whenever the rain and sun appear together I will always think of you.

Sleep tight.

Love Steve, Sandra, Ben and Bethany

Dear Nanny, thank you for all the special memories and welcoming me into your life with open arms. I will miss our chats and will never forget the way you adored Ayla and Kyan. They were both truly lucky to have met such a loving and caring great nan. Stay safe until we meet again one day. Love from Semih, Ayla and Kyan.

Dear Nanny Candy, I have so many lovely memories of you from when I was a little girl. My fondest are going to Greenwich Park with you and Grandad and feeding the squirrels, I remember taking monkey nuts and the squirrels literally eating the nuts out of our hands. You & Grandad would take me & Vic everywhere, to the seaside, parks, shopping and of course pie & mash. We will never forget you and now you’ve got your special angel wings and your flying on your way to see Grandad. Love always and forever from your granddaughter, Sarah ❤️
