In loving memory of John Arthur Marks who sadly passed away on 13th April 2018.
On behalf of my Mother & family, we would like to invite anyone that new my father to come and pay their respects if they so wish. The date of the funeral is Thursday May 10th, taking place at Lodge Hill Crematorium 12pm midday.
When I was very young, my parents always said to me, “have many friends son, not just the one!” So i always took their advice. Growing up I had quite a few good friends, so it’d be lovely to see any of you if you felt like attending.
The family would welcome you.

Dad fought Parkinson’s disease for the last 4 years of his life, & he didn’t back down once. Always fighting it head on, as he simply didn’t want to leave us. A true love story between my Father & Mother, & an unmistakable bond between a father & son.
He was known by everyone as a true gentleman in the pure sense of the word.
I hope you can help us give him a great send off.

There will be some refreshments afterwards at The Selly Park Tavern (Skittle Alley) where will will raise a glass to a fine gentleman, and share stories.

Steve xx

  • Steve what wonderful photographs of happy time. I remember your Dad being your chauffeur & Roadie when you first started doing gigs. It was evident that he was your number one fan & a very proud Dad. What lovely memories you have. Our love you. XX
