Tom was the kindest and most gentle man. Throughout my childhood I spent so much time at his house - it was home from home. He and his lovely wife Margaret always welcomed me and my older sister into their home which truly was a wonderful place to hang out - it was full of love, laughter and excellent snacks! I have never forgotten how funny, warm and friendly he was and I always felt completely at ease in his company - he never got cross with us for hanging around him when he had been at work all day. He would always let me have a bit of his crumpet, have a say in what to watch on the telly and gently mock Lisa and I for our interesting dress sense (he never called us Emma and Sara - we were always Skin and Blister!!) He will never be forgotten. He was so loved and will live on in his beautiful daughters and young grandson.
