I first met Anita at the age of 12 at the Leamington college for girls and despite living miles apart after our school days we always kept in touch. She was a very happy person with a real love for life and was a true friend. I will remember all the good times we spent together but will miss her love and friendship.

I will always remember Anitas kind and gentle way of teaching and the way she inspired me to start teaching. She had a great ability with designing and I love spending time with her discussing designs and developing ideas into new pieces of lace. She was very generous with time and encouragement with everyone, and made you feel you could achieve great things.
I won’t be able to make the service on 28th but my thoughts will be with you all.

Louise West donated £30 in memory of Anita

Anita was a very special person, and inspiration to me with her design abilities with lace, and she motivated me into teaching lace. I will always remember her endless patience and lovely way of dealing with problems in the classroom, and so thankful for having known her and been her student for many years.

When i think of Anita i remember lots if laughing. I remember her riding her bike past me at the bus stop ringing her bell and waving enthusiastically, i remember her jumping onto the table with excitement at seeing a willowwarbler in the garden. I remember her delicious flapjacks we’d have whenever i came round for tea, but mostly i remember how at home and comfortable she made me feel in her home. She was a very special woman, she had a light inside her that shone so brightly and the world is that bit darker now shes gone.
