Dear Crabtree family, Dear John, you might remember me, my name is Peter Hemmerle and I am a so called nephew of the Heiting family. I remember so well how everybody was shocked that "Kätchen" how we used to call her, left for England never to return. She found you John and became very happy in England. Kätchen organized that I spent a summer vacation with your parents in Ashtead and later in Crediton and we used to visit you at the Dart Marina Hotel over the weekend. I was 16 years old, and David a very young boy!..wonderful memories! I had known Kätchen all my life and just loved her humor and her being down to earth... a typical girl from Cologne! It is a great loss for you and Ruth from Emmerich and I will never forget her. It would be very nice of you, John, if you could get in contact with me, when you feel like talking and inform Ruth and me about the circumstances of Kätchens death. Best wishes to the whole family and especially to you John!
Yours Peter Hemmerle and Ruth Behr
