t is with great sorrow that I learned Jackie Steel passed away last year. Anyone who worked at Starcross in the early 1970's will remember Jackie. She was a larger than life character who enjoyed life to the full. I was very privileged to be her friend, you meet a number of people during your working life who affect you. in different ways, some are instantly forgettable, others stay with you for the rest of the life, Jackie was one of these.We had some great times along with Kathy and Yvonne we visited the pubs of Devon and beyond, always organised by Jackie.I will never forget her wicked laugh.I tried to track her down in later years ,
but never succeeded and now it is too late. Even though it is over 40 year since we last met I will miss her desperately but I have wonderful memories of our times together. Jackie rest in peace. Alex xx
