In loving memory of Beryl Doreen Collins who sadly passed away on 22nd February 2018

Loving , kind, caring, generous. Our Mum possessed all those qualities. She simply loved being there for us, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always did the utmost for her family, never putting herself first. We could not have wished for a better Mum.

Mum you were our rock and anchor and we are missing you so much. There is a big gap in our lives now but your legacy will live on. We will remember the good times we had together and everything you did for us. You will always be in our hearts.

Nan,

For me you were the epitomy of family. You gave a sense of it to us all, even when our own were in turmoil. Family was your number one concern and for that we all owe you a significant debt.

Young me remembers your wonderful homely cooking, the endless cups of tea, your superbly creative knitting, the nostalgia-steeped evenings playing dominos, cards and Betta Bilda and the exciting trips into the ‘big city’ on the bus.

A-little-less young me remembers your tremendous support in helping Camille and I find our feet when we first set up on our own in Coventry and the love you poured upon your great grandchildren a few years after that.

I don't recall ever leaving your company without you insisting on a goodbye kiss.

I will miss you dearly.

You are an inspiration for the kind of grandparent and parent we all should aspire to become.

Wayne xx

Kind, loving, warm resourceful and determined. She loved us all and family was her world. She had multiple talents and an incredibly creative mind. She never let her situation limited her and invented up-cycling before it was even a thing. I feel privileged to have her DNA and I have so many character-forming memories of her that I cherish. I will always think of you nanny. RIP

I only met you a few times Beryl, but I remember you as a lovely, smiling lady. I would like to thank you for giving me such a lovely friend in Chris. I don't know your other children well but I'm sure that there are many people who are grateful for their friendship and love. What a fabulous achievement and difference your life made to the world. X
