John was proof you should never judge a book by its cover. As a child he always looked ready to tell me off. As a man I found out how funny he was. A true family man who will be truly missed by his family everyday. RIP John.

Dad you would have been so proud of your family yesterday. We gave you an amazing send off. All your friends and family came. It was such a beautiful service. Mervyn was lovely and we couldn’t have been in better hands than we were with Joy. Thank you Joy for taking care of myself Mum and all our beautiful family. I can honestly say the world is a darker place without grandad John. Always remember the walks home from school and the ‘weekend practice’ cheerleading sessions round Charlie and tiffs. I hope you’ve found peace and happiness up in heaven and you will be missed dearly by all. Lots of love to Fran and family.
