In loving memory of Brian Jones who sadly passed away on 27th December 2017. The dearly loved husband of the late Marion Joynes, dear dad of Sarah and Ruth, also, the much-loved grandad of Jack, Harry, Oliver and Alexander, brother of Bob and brother-in-law of Judith.

Brian was a great astronomer and designer - as long as the West Yorkshire Astronomical Society Rosse Observatory is standing he will never be forgotten. He designed the dome and first telescope for the observatory. I will miss him and his dry humour.
