We (Graham & myself) met Paul at Secondary school, he was in the class a year ahead of us, and me(Pat) being Janet's best friend naturally shared in Paul's courtship of Janet which started when they were 12/13. He was a shy lad but determined and won her heart in the end.
He & Janet had many happy years a lot of which were devoted to their family and the scouts. He & Janet came out to spend some time with us in New Zealand and we had a ball, When Janet passed away he missed her very much and never really got over it I think. He came to stay with a few more times after that and he was always good company , and when we came over to England he hosted us and trotted us about - he loved being a chauffeur to folk and was extremely generous and had a great sense of humour. We shall miss skypeing him and catching up on his gardening and family news. He was a wonderful husband, father and dear friend. Rest in Peace Paul with Janet !
All our love and sympathy to Andrew Janet, Louise and the grandchildren he was so proud of also David and Daisy.
Pat & Graham
