Moira Robinson (16 Mar 1927 - 17 Aug 2017)

In loving memory of Moira Robinson who sadly passed away on 17th August 2017, aged 90 years. Moira was born on March 16th 1927 and with 2 brothers, Roy and David, lived in Forest Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne. Through her brother Roy, she met the love of her life Alan, and they were married at Benton Methodist church on June 2nd 1952. A few years later, she and Alan had the opportunity to go and work in Abeokuta in Nigeria. Her 2 sons, Paul and Philip were born in Nigeria. She and Alan spent 7 very happy years in Nigeria and after moving back to England she worked as a shorthand typist as well as a full time wife and mother!! Her first grand-daughter, Megan was born in 2002 followed by Phoebe, Hollie, Beatrice and Sophie!! After many years in Newcastle, Moira and Alan moved to live in Kent to be nearer to their sons and to be able to spend more time with their grandchildren. Alan and Moira were very happily married for 65 years!! Moira was an inspirational, loving and devoted wife, mum and grandma who will be missed so much but never forgotten. We will always love you and until we all meet again, rest in peace our special lady. XXXXXXXXXX
