Dear (Great) "Uncle Danny",
As my Granpa Jimmy's brother you gave me a special gift - a second maternal grandfather figure, one who complemented Jimmy's exuberance and joy. And above all else, you gave me my name, since 'Daniel' was the name that resonated most with my mum, Margaret, when it came time to name her new born son.
Thank you for all the acts of kindness, big and small, over your long life.
I am fortunate in my 32 years to have known you.
God rest you, and enjoy a wee drink with Jimmy and Sadie when you see them.
God bless,
Daniel and Erica Barron (Seoul, South Korea).

Rest in peace Uncle Danny. You will be sadly missed by all. A true gentleman and a friend to many people. Such an interesting person and great company. Your knowledge of old Glasgow and a certain football team had us enthralled on many an occasion. The end of an era.

Dan,

It was a real pleasure knowing you. We shared many happy times together with Tony talking golf, football and all things Jaguar. A son of Glasgow, you made a hugely successful career for yourself as well as being a devoted husband and father. You were a kind and generous man and a true gentleman in every sense. I know that we will all miss you terribly, and I am sure that all who knew you will miss you too.

We only mourn those we loved or who made a positive difference to our lives. It is safe to say that there will be a great many family and friends who will mourn your passing.

May you Rest in Peace.

Mark, Katy and Betty Bovaird
