As a relatively new member to the Somerset dowsers I did not really know Kate but I think she made my dowsing rods. She has obviously achieved much in her long life, passing her knowledge and skills onto others and helping the Unreached in India. Thank you Kate.

Kate's passing has brought back wonderful memories of her teaching us systematic design, a skill that has served me well over the years. Only three days ago, I had a meeting with new clients and I was outlining the design process exactly as Kate taught us all those years ago - indeed, I can imagine her looking down and seeing the fruits of her labour are still ripe after all this time. I am certain that her memorial book will have many such messages from my contemporaries. In life, there are certain people whom we hold in high regard because they were a good teachers or mentors - Kate is right up there. Thank you for the all that you have taught me, Kate - I just hope I've done you proud. Rest in peace.

I am sad to hear that Kate has passed away but happy for her that she did not suffer as I knew her well enough to know she would not have liked to be incapacitated.
For many years now she has been a wonderful 'Mum' to Monty, my much loved Brown Burmese cat, who used to live in Cornwall with me but circumstances arose whereby I could no longer provide him with a home. Through The Burmese Cat Club, he was blessed to find a new Mum who loved him as much as I did.
She kept in touch once a year with some photos and anecdotes as to activities which were very welcome.
Unfortunately I cannot come to her funeral due to my own advancing years, but will donate to her chosen charity.
May she Rest in Peace

'Monty's first Mum'
