In loving memory of Donna Ellis who sadly passed away on 13th July 2017.

There isn't much I can say about our mum that people don't already know. She was one of a kind. Mum shared everything that she had with anyone and everyone who needed it. As you all know, her door was always open, both literally and figuratively, for anyone who needed a cuppa, a natter or even somewhere to sleep. Many of you have been looked after by our mum, for days, weeks and even months. This degree of love and care is not common nowadays, it really isn't.

We have lost a lady who wore her heart on her sleeve. Somebody who would advise but also let you know if you were in the wrong (speaking from personal experience). A lot of you will have sought mum out for this advice and these words when needed and hopefully you'll have the comfort of knowing that these words will have benefited you in some way.

Finally, we hope that mum knows how much she was loved, thought about and cherished by her boys and all of her grandchildren.

Rest in peace, Mum...

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.

Rest peacefully Mum. Love Always Richard and Alexa xxxx

It completely broke my heart to leave you in the hospital that night but as I kissed your face I knew how happy and at peace you were. It's true what they say "You don't know what you've got until it's gone" and that really is the case because we definitely relied on each other for a lot of things, big and small & you were the only person who was ever there for me no matter what! And now I don't know what I'll do without you! I'll miss our phone calls every morning & until we meet again Donna, keep shining bright. Love you, forever and always xxxxx

There's always gonna be a part of me missing now your not here! Can't believe I won't ever hear your voice again telling me to put the kettle on or moaning about the kids running in and out of the living room always telling them they had one more chance to stop messing but letting them get away with it every time anyway. You didn't have much but would give everything you had to us if we needed it and I'll never forget that or forget you. So glad we got to spend your last days together having the best time on holiday, and seeing you swimming in the sea just topped it all off for me. I can honestly say I have never seen you happier and I'm just so glad I got to see you like that, in your element. Don't think I'll ever get over you being gone, my heart is completely broken & I will miss you forever, my amazing auntie. You truly were one in a million! Love you xxx
