Not looking forward to saying a final goodbye to you tomorrow Alan, we are all lost for words, really not sure how we are going to cope at Christmas without you ripping us about the turkey being cooked/knackered and the fact that it's only 9.30 and we don't plan to eat it until 1pm. Gone far to soon but will never be forgotten sleep tight Alan lots of love from all of us

I remember you and I met at Stanhope arms hotel in 1984. I was the waitress and you was the banqueting chef.
The first time I met you, I saw that you were kind, loyal and a good listener. As time went on and I got to know you better I realised I wanted to be with you.
34 years later we were still together with 2 fantastic boys and we were happy.
Now that you're gone, words cannot describe the way I feel. I'm lonely, scared and cold, Just completely lost. You were part of me, my gentle grumpy old man, the love of my life and my world.

I will always love you and where ever you are just know that you will never be forgotten!

from your loving wife

Denise xxxxxxxxxx
