In loving memory of Alfred Aspinall Earle who sadly passed away on 19th June 2017.

Early Years in Alfred's life; written by his brother Rupert....

Alfred Earle was born on 3rd January 1923 in Basseterre, St Kitts, West Indies. He was the 3rd child of Albert & Melita Earle.
He attended Basseterre Boys School. On leaving school he obtained employment as a clerk with one of the leading Merchants in the city.
As a young man he joined the St Kitts, Nevis & Anguilla Voluntary Defence Force & was a member of the Regiment band as a drummer & he also played trumpet.
This was during World War ll, there was a regular army at Camp Springfield & the Defence Force was housed in a large property in Basseterre with a small number of staff which Alfred was part of.
At the end of the war, the army was disbanded & the Defence force moved to Camp Springfield. The disbandment of the army brought a strong push by the British establishment (The Governor, Administrator and the Civic Administration) to find work for many people. In short United Kingdom & Holland formulated a plan whereby Caribbean ex-servicemen obtained employment in Curacao & Aruba.
Alfred was one of those who went to Curacao as a young man. He worked for Shell Oil Refinery as a pump house operator, shipping oil products up stream to tankers for export.
Alfred met & married a beautiful young lady (Caroline), they were blessed with 3 children born in Curacao, Cynthia, Albert & Rosaline.
In 1960 there was a move to replace the British worker & Alfred returned home to St Kitts with his family. He wasted no time in immigrating to England where he settled in the Birmingham area, & his family followed him to England shortly after.
The family settled in Birmingham & saw the blessing of their 4th child, Everton who sadly passed away on 4th December 2016 aged 54 after cancer of kidney & then complications from this.
In Birmingham all 4 brothers (Vincent, Alfred, Stanley & Rupert) lived within close reach of each other and enjoyed a very good social life especially on weekends.
Sadly to say the 3 older brothers have passed leaving Rupert & a sister Leona. The eldest child Estelle had passed away many years before after Alfred had moved to England. Estelle was the headmistress for a time at the local City School.
