I met Ursula several years ago when she was a patient at the dentists where I used to work. I loved chatting to Ursula, with her beautiful bright smile and warm, vibrant personality, we shared stories and laughter. Several years passed and a job change for me meant I lost touch with Ursula. One day, approx 18 months ago, I bumped into Ursula and her mother in law in Locks Heath Centre, Ursula told me of her illness and I was so sad to hear and see she was very poorly. I hoped I would see her again, as I had given her details of a support centre for Breast Cancer in Titchfield where I was now working. Sadly, I didn’t see Ursula and I was wondering how she was doing. Today, I just happened to come across the sad news on the Hampshire Constabulary website. Dearest Ursula, a remarkable lady, whom I am so pleased I had the pleasure of meeting. May her family be comforted in knowing that Ursula was a very special genuine lady, my thoughts are with you. Dear Warren and Aimee,
I was so very, very sorry to hear of Ursula's recent passing. I didn't find out until 2 days before the funeral, and was unable to send any message before now because it's taken me a while to process and work out exactly what to say.
I can't imagine how you are feeling. I know there will be a very large Ursula shaped hole, and I hope that the memories on this page will help to fill that and keep her spirit alive in both of you.
My own abiding memory or impression of Ursula is one of a sheer positive love of life, laughter that came from nowhere and enveloped everyone in her presence with joy, and a determination to be the very best person she could be, whether as a mother, wife, friend. And boy, was she the best!
All that, and of course - lipstick, and that radiant, warm, genuine smile of hers that went straight to the heart.
In Ursuala, the world has lost a truly unique and valuable soul. I will never forget her.
