If Roses ? Grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Father's arms
and tell him they're from me.
Tell him I love him and miss him,
and when he turns to smile,
place a kiss upon his cheek
and hold him for a while
Because remembering him is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away.

My Hero
You held my hand
When I was small
You caught me when I fell
You're the hero of my childhood
And my later years as well

And every time I think of you
My heart still fills with pride
Though I'll always miss you Dad
I know you're by my side

In laughter and in sorrow
In sunshine and through rain
I know you're watching over me
Until we meet again

Hear the wind sing a sad, old song
It knows i'm leaving you today
Please don't cry or my heart will break
When I go on my way

Goodbye my love goodbye
Goodbye and au revoir
As long as you remember me
I'll never be too far

Goodbye my love goodbye
I always will be true
So hold me in your dreams
'till I come back to you

See the stars in the skies above
They'll shine wherever I may roam
I will pray every lonely night
That soon they'll guide me home

Jason MacDonald donated £20 in memory of Kevin

As a young 18 year old who joined Staines RFC in 1989 Kevin Jones was already 300 plus games into his club career . Kevin and Jill became the Mother and Father to Staines in that time . Kevin pushing his body past 700 games for the club and enjoying the lunches and social life along the way , Jill being the mother figure looking after everyone . The players that played in the 1st , Cobs and 3rd in that era will all have the fondest memories . Kevin propping up the scrum and being able to remind everyone he was once a winger in his youth with a side step . The end of season move toward golf watching Kevin never truly master his golf swing yet being able to witness his first hole in one.

It is with great sadness that I cannot be their today greater sadness that we will all miss the Joneses.
