Brenda was a remarkable person with a real heart for community. I was honoured to serve alongside her as a Governor at Fairchildes School and to share her concern for the people and place of New Addington. She always spoke with great passion about a place which many from outside had written off. A one of a kind. Rest in Peace Brenda

It was a great privilege to have known Brenda: she was an amazing person. Our lives are the poorer with her loss but they are the richer for having known her. Geoff Hammond

God bless you Brenda. You have left a legacy for others, despite your own problems. Such a thoughtful person to the very end.
A stalwart or New Addington, and a person that will be sorely missed.

Brenda, growing up next door to you in the 80's had a lifelong impact on me. I became a socialist, against my thatcherite parents, and I do what I can to help others. You were the start for me and I will always be grateful to you for that. My inspiration. God bless xx

A truly lovely person with a big heart and such an infectious smile. Already missed by all who knew her, especially the community she lived in and worked so hard for. Unforgettable.

Some people make such a difference in our lives.
By simply being who they are, they make the world a better place, and when they're gone we realise how lucky we are to have known them.
