Brenda Kirby (5 Jul 1945 - 28 Sep 2014)

Brenda was a remarkable person with a real heart for community. I was honoured to serve alongside her as a Governor at Fairchildes School and to share her concern for the people and place of New Addington. She always spoke with great passion about a place which many from outside had written off. A one of a kind. Rest in Peace Brenda

It was a great privilege to have known Brenda: she was an amazing person. Our lives are the poorer with her loss but they are the richer for having known her. Geoff Hammond

Brenda, growing up next door to you in the 80's had a lifelong impact on me. I became a socialist, against my thatcherite parents, and I do what I can to help others. You were the start for me and I will always be grateful to you for that. My inspiration. God bless xx

A truly lovely person with a big heart and such an infectious smile. Already missed by all who knew her, especially the community she lived in and worked so hard for. Unforgettable.

Brenda was such a lovely lady , always had time for a chat .Knew her from her time as chairperson of Goldcrest youth centre where she gave her support and the wealth of her knowledge. Proud to have known a very caring lady .
