Darcus Howe (26 Feb 1943 - 1 Apr 2017)

Darcus.. the man that gave me my first tv role. Met Him in '84 whilst he was filming the Bandung Files with Mangrove. Great experience, never forget his presence, jumped Carnival with him too over the years, and last year saw him at Panarama representing his Band Mangrove. Great man- loved his spirit- and style of journalism. True Warrior that has left some big shoes to fill. Darcus the Renegade RIP Sir- say Hi to Blues and Frank.. Be well rested.xx

I had the pleasure of meeting Darcus when I was 12 years old and was amazed then, and all through my life I've been influenced by his persona and family values. As he joins his other family members in heaven he will be missed by my family members very much. Rest in Peace my brother.
