From Julie to Peter

Your lovely life just slipped away, that life so full of zest
Your twinkling eyes got weary, your beating heart took rest

I have only just lost you, the pain is hard to bear
Do I have to go through life, without you being there

The moment that you died, my heart was torn in two
One side filled with heartache, the other died with you

I sit here and remember all the lovely times we shared,
The talks the laughter of everyone you deeply loved and cared

I am told the pain will ease in time and I will think of you without a tear
But at the moment this seems impossible as I need to have you here

Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday
But missing you is heartache that will never go away

Many a tear I’ve shed since I lost you, many more will continue to fall
You took my happiness with you, the happiest hours of all

You are the very world to me my ever guiding star
Just kiss me softly on the cheek and tell me where you are

You were a husband in a million, why did you have to go
You mean the world to me, I really love you so

I will hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain

Dearest Peter

You were and always will be my world. I cannot believe that I was so lucky to have met you and you did me the honour of becoming my husband. Our wedding day was the proudest and best day of my life. We are so well suited! You are my soul-mate and my best friend. You added so much to my life and a better person I have become because of you. We have made so many memories which I will always cherish and I do not regret a thing, only that I was unable to make you better as there was still so much more we wanted to do. I will miss you and love you forever… xxxxxxxx
