Thoughts entwined, behind a veil imprisoned.
It flutters in the wind. A glimpse of the real you I see.
The veil drops, the tears drop, once more to be lost in a maze.
Freed now, enlightenment beckons, thoughts of those who loved you, clear before your passing.

Since Nanny's death I find that I am remembering old and happy memories.

A lot of these for me stem from the time that Nan lived at St Mary's Close.

From this lovely little house we could walk everywhere and regularly walked into town and back. Nan loved her regular swim and there was always the risk of finding Nan doing her early morning exercises - a sight to behold !

I was never a big bingo fan but I used to love going to the bingo hall with Nan - she got sooooo excited about her huge strip of numbers. It was always entertaining.

And of course, not forgetting those delicious welsh cakes.

This is the Nan that I loved with all my heart xxx

Although only having known Betty for a relatively short time, I was somehow able to form a friendship with her, from the first moment I met her we were able to have a bit of fun together,
when visiting her at the care home she nearly always "puckered her lips up for a kiss kiss kiss!!

Our favorite game was to see who could fold white hankies into the smallest shape, afterwards we used to have a tug of war as she wouldn't let go of mine
she was a lovely lady and I will always have fond memories of her
