We thank you for acting as surrogate mother to our son and daughter-in-law and gran to our two young grandchildren. You were their "guiding light" and always there when needed by them. Your welcome and kindness was always appreciated when we occasionally visited and you will never be forgotten. We all love you.

We Miss You Kath

Kath, We shall all miss your wonderful stories no matter if we have heard the stories before or not!

Will shall miss your wonderful smile, sparkling eyes and hearing your young laughter.

We shall miss your example and the way you lived your life. The way you cleaned and tidying your little flat. The way you always laid the breakfast table the night before.

We will miss going into your lovely flat that you took such pride in.

We shall miss you teaching our Children right from wrong, how to eat properly at the table and how to make different napkin shapes.

We shall miss the hours of nail painting and make up sessions on a school night!

We shall miss your Toad In The Hole and your famous Shepards Pie.

We shall miss your ‘No None sense Attitude’and standing up for your rights, for putting cleaners and workmen in their place and telling them ‘how it should be done’

We shall miss your glamour and your immaculate presentation no matter what the occasion or weather.

We will miss you inviting people into your flat and making them cups of tea or making them a dinner.

We will miss your TV being on far to loud and the lights and the heating always on.

We shall miss asking you which bus to catch or where this or that road was?

We will miss you being there to help us to sow on a button on or take up a hem.

We shall miss you knocking on doors and handing out candles if the electric goes off.

We shall miss you sweeping and mopping the stairs and bleaching the waste chute because no one else would.

We will miss you picking up the children at the drop of a hat if we couldn’t make it for school run.

We will miss your kindness and generosity to our family and to the other neighbours.

We believe we will never be lucky enough to meet another Aunty Kath. You truly were an ‘Old School Londoner’ always having a good word to say and a smile.

You were the brightest star in our sky and were always above us!
We Miss You So Much,

Hanane, Howard, Sami and Kayra

To Kaths family

I worked as a neighbourhood manager in Southwark for many years and spent a lot of time at Blackfriars. I loved hearing her stories about life at Blackfriars and she was always happily involved in helping the community.

Katy was a lovely lady and she will be greatly missed.

With very warm regards
Angela

Dear Kath,

I will always remember our shared Lambeth Girl 'banter' sessions in your kitchen. I could never pop in for only 5 minutes, it was always an hour, with endless cups of coffee!

Thank you for being my friend and sharing many poignant memories of your 68 years of estate life on the Blackfriars estate. You will be remembered for being the heart and soul of Block R, and so much more to your family, friends and neighbours.

My Mum and myself loved and adored you. It was an honor and a privilege to have had you as a friend and your support for the community work which I and others do on our estate.

You're a tough act to follow!

Love always,

Carole and Elsie Wright xx

My dearest Kath
I will miss you, your wonderful energy, your cheerfulness, your incredible stories which I always found so interesting, and of course the bits of gossip - everyone loves a bit of innocent gossip! You will always be remembered for your wonderful personality, your glamour, the wonderful 'you' - everyone's cherished and much-loved Aunty Kath. You left too soon. I shall always remember you, not with sadness and tears, but with laughter.
Loving you forever.
Sleep peacefully my darling Kath
