Grandad! It’s been so long since I’ve typed to you, I’m so sorry, I havent forgotten you my life has been mental, you’re a great grandad 🤍 I’ve had a baby girl she’s 18 months now! Her name is Elsie Sophia Rolfe you know what it’s like when you have a baby it’s crazy! I would’ve loved to see your face the day I could’ve told you I was pregnant! I could imagine the response I would’ve got too… ‘you silly silly girl, you’re not married’ HAHAHA! But I know you would’ve absolutely loved her and you would’ve thought the world of each other! I’ve shown her photos of you and told her what you were like and you watch over us everyday and when we see a Robin I always say ‘that’s your great grandad making sure you’re being a good girl’

Grandma has finally caught her wings and is back with you, the Thursday before she passed I was sat in hospital with mum and your song came on the radio we knew it was a message from you that you knew grandma was close by take care of each other I miss you both so so much my heart aches and has such a big chunk missing out of it no one can refill, what we would do to have you both back here even if it was just a couple hours, I love you and miss you both so so much

Millie xxxx

Grandad, it’s always this time of year running up
to Christmas, that I find so difficult for the last 5 years! I know, I know… you’d say. Don’t be silly, I’m dead! Enjoy yourself! But… truth is… I miss you! The older I’m becoming & the more life fly’s by makes me realise life really does go past so fast & my heart hasn’t been complete since the day you passed & there isn’t a single day where you don’t cross my mind! Your also a great, great grandad! Millie had a little girl called Elsie, she’s absolutely gorgeous!! I just wish you were here to see us all growing up… we miss you lots, everyday! Sending all my love… Katie xx

Grandad,

How has it been four years since you gained your wings! I miss your wise words, smile & company more than you’ll ever know! You really were the back bone of our family & I miss you so very much!

Although, you really haven’t missed out on what an absolute s**t show 2020 has been! It’s been a ‘right bloody old mess.’

Anyway, keep looking down as we have got a very exciting 2021 coming our way & I know you’ll be just as excited as we are.

Thinking of you today & always...

All my love

Katie xxx
