In loving memory of Samuel Newton who sadly passed away on 18th December 2016 at Lincoln County Hospital after a short battle with pneumonia and heart failure aged 90 years. Sam was born in Lincoln and lived and worked in the city all his life. He was a skilled engineering fitter who completed 51 years service with Ruston and Hornsby, English Electric, GEC and Dorman Diesels at their Boultham works. He married Nellie Wilcox at Harmston parish church in 1955 and had two sons, David in 1959 and Brian in 1962. He was a keen member of both Gwynnes social club and Carholme Golf Club.
Sam was a kind, loyal man who always put his family first and will be sadly missed.
